In other news, I’m having a tough time deciding what to bring to my buddy’s annual Christmas gala that he throws. He usually goes all out & serves filet mignon, shrimp cocktail, spanokopitas [spinach pies], tiropitas [cheese pastries], various other finger foods, sometimes he bbq’s some ribs, and he’s always good for his mac & cheese which has about 5 different cheeses, but all in a secret combination so no cheese over powers the others. Yeah there’s a lot of food going on. I thought about bringing a side dish, but not sure which entree I want to pair it up with. I could go with my twice baked potatoes [which I stole from him but added a flair of my own in order to call them *my* own] but I’m having them the next day for the small gathering that I’m having at the house. I could bring dessert but my other buddy makes cakes for a living and while his regular cheesecake is absolutely to die for, his chocolate cheesecake absolutely rocks. ROCKS I tell ya. So today’s project is browsing food/recipe sites to come up with a dish to bring.
All my other work be damned!!
