So let me get this straight - Michelle Rodriguez, she of LOST fame, decided she would rather shell out $500 bucks along with spending 5 days in jail, in lieu of doing 240 hours of community service. The $500 bucks I’m sure is a drop in the bucket for her. And while you’re saving 120 hours by giving up your freedom for 120 hours, it’s community service in Hawaii for crying out loud! What are they going to have you do? Clean their beautiful beach? Move some volcanic rock from off the road? Sweep up some coconut shells? It’s a chance to spend 30 extra days in paradise, how can you give that up?! I guess with the jail term, she gets it over and done with in a week and doesn’t have to worry about it anymore. But still man, it’s Hawaii!!
