You would think that with everything that we went through in buying the car, picking it up would be the least of our worries. Unfortunately that was not the case. I got there at the prescribed hour of 6PM. Mind you, it was crappy out – raining and muggy – yet I still managed to get there on time. I tell the receptionist that I’m here and she tells me to have a seat. 25 minutes later, the salesperson we dealt with finally decides to put his coffee and doughnut down to come tell me that it will be a few more minutes until the finance guys are ready. So I wait. And wait. And wait some more. At 7:10PM, the Kiddo finally shows up with the license plates from our Maxima. She spent the better part of an hour at here parents’ place trying to get them off to put onto the new car. And she was supposed to be there at 6PM too!! So while I technically wasn’t ready to see the finance people anyways, I shouldn’t be pissed that I had to wait 90 minutes from my original appointment time because everything on my end wasn’t ready. Screw that!! I was pissed at everyone, and it took all my control to not say something to the guy we finally ended up dealing with because the one guy who we were supposed to deal with was still with another client. Or some bullshit like that. I don’t even remember. I just really really hate waiting around especially when I have an appointment and am on time. Don’t even get me started on my doctor and dentist visits. But the bottom line is we were able to get the car that night, had them throw in an extended warranty [6/60K] and alarm system, and all was well in my little world. I had the Kiddo drive home that night because they said we couldn’t drive over 55 mph, but in the book it doesn’t mention anything about keeping it under a certain speed. So go figure. All we need now is to name it – it’s a Sapphire Blue Metallic color & grey leather interior. Any ideas??
