Spy vs Spy

Currently watching last night’s Celebrity Apprentice on nbc.com. So far it’s shaping up to be a decent episode. Cattiness on the women’s side, arrogance on the men’s. Nice!!

The challenge was to come up with a marketing campaign for Croc shoes. Pierce and Carol were the project managers for this task. When it began, the teams were placed in adjoining conference rooms to brainstorm. Pierce thought it would be a good idea to fake a fight with Vinny and throw him out hoping that the women would take him onto their team. They fell for it and Vinny was able to pass some information back to his old team. Surprisingly enough, Vinny decided to actually help the women’s team, if only to get Pierce thrown out of the boardroom since he realized what he was doing against the women was kind of sketchy.

Of course a plan like this is bound to backfire. Once the women found out the real deal, due in part to Pierce, they kicked Vinny off their team. When Vinny found out what Pierce had sold him out, they got into it and Vinny was left a man without a country as he put it.

In the boardroom, Ivanka got on Empresario for taking him in and not winning on their own. When she checked up on Hydra she admitted that she would use sabotage if needed, but at the same time realizes that it may not always work and could backfire. The rest of the time in the boardroom, in which way too much time was spent, went back and forth, he said, she said, you said. It brought down what was a very good episode up till that point.

The streak is finally over as Empresario ended up winning the challenge. I thought they would end up winning as their campaign was stronger and receptacle was much better looking. Vinny wanted out even before the women left the boardroom and resigned his spot on the team. He also kept saying that Pierce is a better leader than him, and kept singing his praises. Even after The Donald asked why he [Vinny] should stay. He must not have made a good enough point, since his resignation was accepted, and Vinny was on his way back to Brooklyn.
