Weekends always seem to come and go, in an instant. Just as soon as I am ready to relax and settle in, it’s time to hit the snooze button for yet another Monday morning. Grrr….
This weekend consisted of shopping for baby proof stuff – gates, outlet covers, cabinet – making homemade mac and cheese, visiting some friends in the area and watching #1 versus #2 in men’s college basketball. I debated clearing the snow from the walkway and driveway but the weather cooperated on Saturday, and so I let it all melt on its own as opposed to shoveling it all out of the way. Work smarter and not harder, I always say.
I’m in the market for anotehr videocard for a year old machine I have. I’m currently using onboard video since it’s been a download box for me, but I wanted to throw on NHL 07. Fortunately there is a PCIE slot so I can get a cheap card to play some games. My soon to be built new box is on hold till I decide on the other components. All I ahve so far is the videocard which a month and a half ago was tough to get (8800GT) but of course now, there are plenty of them out there. I hope it isn’t a DOA when I finally install it and try to run it.
I’m debating buying a camera bag for my D40. I’d be able to carry it around with me without fear of destryoing it, and then I’d be able to finally start on Photo366 [Leap Year, duh..]. But that whole, what if something happens to it feeling will always be with me. Of course, that would be a good reason to have to get a new camera and all. But oh so fiscally irresponsible.
