Records were made to be Broken

Posted on Monday 14 April 2008

I’m pretty sure that within a 24 hour period, I set the records for most pounds of calamari and most number of pieces of mozzarella en carozza, eaten. Saturday was the baptism for my niece, of which I was one of the godfathers. It was a private ceremony so it went quick. It ended with a little prayer in front of a plaque dedicated to my dad, inside the Church which was really nice. They must have put it up after the Kelseynator’s baptism since we didn’t get to do it back in September. Then it was over to Momma Rao’s for the dinner. This is the same place where the Kiddo and I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. The place has been updated and expanded - they now have a store next door serving their entrees and baking their own bread. The food was still specatcular.

Sunday was a first birthday party for Lucas who’s the Kelseynator’s future boyfriend. Though neither of them know it yet. This was by the house on Long Island - Piccolo Mondo. There weren’t alot of people invited which was a good thing because the place was tiny. The 3 appetizers were excellent though and their take on chicken parmesagn, aka chicken piccolo mondo, was excellent as well. It was the deep frying of the chicken breast, as opposed to pan frying, that put it over the top.

So now we’ve ramped up planning Kelsey’s birthday party. We finally found a place in the area, now we have to see about getting a clown/balloon artist, balloons and decorations and plan a cake/cupcake display with my cousin. Along with sending out invites and putting together party bags for the kids. Now I know why people hire organizers to do all this stuff!!
